Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies that TV-Top Games ("TV-Top", "we", "us") uses on tvtop.games and play.tvtop.games. For everything else we do with your information, see our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser, so it can recognize your browser on later visits. Websites can also save information in your browser's local storage, and can load small "pixels" or scripts from other companies. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of these.

Cookies we set ourselves are first-party cookies. Cookies set by another company whose tools we use, such as Google or Meta, are third-party cookies. That company can recognize your browser on other websites that use its tools too.

Visitors in Europe

If you visit from the EU, the EEA (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway), the UK or Switzerland, our website and game load none of the analytics or marketing tools listed below. You only get the essential ones. That's why we don't need to ask with a cookie banner.

We tell where you are from your IP address when a page loads, using Cloudflare, our host. If that doesn't work, a European time zone on your device counts as being in Europe.

The cookies we use

Essential

These keep you signed in and keep payments working. The website doesn't work properly without them, so they can't be switched off on our side.

Name	Provider	Purpose	Lasts
firebase:* and Firebase sign-in storage	Google Firebase	Keeps you signed in and connected to games	Until you sign out
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid	Stripe	Fraud prevention for payments	1 year; 30 minutes
m	Stripe	Fraud prevention for payments	Up to 2 years

Analytics

These show us how people use the website, so we can find what's confusing and fix it.

Name	Provider	Purpose	Lasts
_ga, _ga_*	Google Analytics	Counts visits and pages viewed	Up to 2 years
_ce.s and other _ce*	Crazy Egg	Heatmaps and session recordings	Up to 1 year

Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts visits to our website and game. It uses no cookies and doesn't track you across sites.

Marketing

These help us run and measure our own ads and email list.

Name	Provider	Purpose	Lasts
_fbp, fr	Meta	Measures and targets our ads on Facebook and Instagram	90 days
__kla_id and Klaviyo local storage	Klaviyo	Connects your visits to our email list, if you've signed up	Up to 2 years

The game at play.tvtop.games uses essential storage for sign-in. Outside Europe it also uses Google Analytics for Firebase, which sets _ga and _ga_* cookies. It has no advertising cookies.

Providers sometimes rename their cookies or add new ones. We review this list when we add or remove a tool, but at any moment the exact names in your browser may differ slightly from the ones above.

How to control cookies

• Your browser. Every browser lets you block or delete cookies. Look in its settings or help pages: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge. If you block essential cookies, signing in and checkout may stop working.
• Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, our website doesn't load the Meta pixel.
• Google Analytics. Install Google's opt-out browser add-on.
• Crazy Egg. Use Crazy Egg's opt-out page.
• Meta ads. Change your ad preferences on Facebook or Instagram.
• Interest-based ads generally. Use the opt-out tools from the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative, or the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance if you're in Europe.

Content blockers and private browsing modes also stop most analytics and marketing cookies, and our website still works without them.

Changes to this policy

When we add or remove a tool, we'll update this policy and the date at the top.
