Frontier Island

Summary: You have just arrived on Frontier Island and hope to settle the island before the other players do. Build roads, encampments and cities and collect expansion cards to gain points. There is no clear path to victory. You must strategize and make choices based on the hand that is given to get to 10 points first.

Background: Frontier Island is a fan-made strategy game inspired by Settlers of Catan. It plays very similar to Catan, but because it is a digital product, there are some inherent differences. One of the great benefits of Frontier Island is the ability to cast the game board to your TV and have each player join from their individual device (i.e. phone, tablet, computer, etc.). You can also share the board over video chat to play the game virtually.

Level of Difficulty: Easy Frontier Island is a great strategy board game for beginners. If you have friends or family who don’t usually enjoy strategy games, this is a great game to get them started!

How to Play TV-Top Games

In-Person Play

1. Sign in to Your TV-Top Games Account
2. Select Frontier Island from your dashboard
3. Copy link using the invite link on the game
4. Send invite to friends
5. Once friends have joined, move them from Observers to Players
6. Cast game board to your TV
7. Start Game (you may Mulligan the board if you want to change number placement)

Virtual Play

1. Schedule video chat with your friends using your preferred service provider (We recommend Discord or Zoom)
2. Sign in to Your TV-Top Games Account
3. Select Frontier Island from your dashboard (after your one-time purchase of the game)
4. Copy link using the invite link on the game
5. Send invite to friends via text or video chat messenger
6. Once friends have joined, move them from Observers to Players
7. Share game board over video chat
8. Start Game (you may Mulligan the board if you want to change number placement)

Once you have finished the game, you will have the option to Play Again and share your game experience with friends via social media!
